Your First Visit
At your first visit, prepare for an experience unlike any dental experience you've ever had. We will strive to exceed your expectations in every way. Foot massagers in our waiting area will ease your stress while you relax with your favorite beverage. Each of our operatories is equipped with televisions and DVD players, chair massagers and parafin hand treatment, but if you prefer music, request an iPod.
When you have settled in comfortably, your exam will begin with digital X-rays and a thorough assessment of your mouth's interior with intraoral photography. Chairside monitors will project the camera's images, so you'll see what Dr. Richardson sees. We will conduct a comprehensive exam of your gums and teeth, searching for signs of periodontal disease, damage, or other concerns.
Today's dental technology allows for greater comfort during exams. For example, our DIAGNOdent laser checks for decay on your teeth's surfaces. No more probing and poking with a steely hook!
Finally, Dr. Richardson will review his findings with you, making sure that you understand all of the information, and then he will explain treatment recommendations. You will hear us say often, "Your comfort is our main concern." That includes your comfort with our treatment suggestions. Feel free to ask questions; we want you to be informed. Our patient care coordinator can assist you with creative financing, upon request.
